Williamsburg Census Consensus: Census is WACK
NYC Hipster Capital, Williamsburg has the lowest census return rate (30%) of all NYC neighborhoods (avg NYC return rate is 50%). The Williamsburg Census Consensus® is that unlike “ironic mustaches, wacky bikes and skinny jeans” it’s just not cool
The lower consensus awareness is attributed to a media gap as hipsters clearly dont do radio or tv…duh npr link

- “We still get mail from the past 30 people that have lived there. So it’s like who knows if people are getting these.”
- “You know, on a personal note, maybe some people, they figure what’s the point to be counted if you dont count for much anyway? If we dont count, why be counted?”
